We are excited to announce our rebrand from Nocturne to Arc, marking a new journey as version 7.0.0. This new journey begins with a new name and icon.

Our name, Arc, which has been our internal project name since 2023, symbolizes a bridge connecting people, hearts, and cultures. While Nocturne was born from the idea that "cherishing the present creates wonderful memories when looking back in the future," we chose Arc as a new symbol for our next step. Arc aims to be a bridge that connects people, and even people with AI, securely and freely.

Arc represents the three core values we now hold:

Accessible, Reliable, and Confidential.

Looking ahead, we aim to optimize our platform (for stability, speed, lightweight design, and high security) in our upcoming updates. As part of this plan, we will introduce a three-tiered encryption system in Q2 2026 and beyond, with each plan offering different levels of security.

We want users to cherish every message and enjoy them. We hope to reduce the sadness caused by the inability to express emotions properly or misunderstandings. Ultimately, through a messaging app that makes users feel comfortable, we aim to create a market that improves the digital world.
