Visiting Doha and en route to MWC Kigali.

Updated: May 21

To participate in MWC Kigali, I deliberately planned to stay overnight in Doha, the capital of Qatar, where the average annual income exceeds 40 million yen. I wanted to thoroughly explore Doha, a country with such high income levels.

While Qatar Airways' business class receives top ratings globally, what struck me was the fact that Qataris perceive the cost of tickets to be similar to economy class prices for Japanese travelers. This reflects the disparity in economic power between nations.

Despite the high living standards, taxi fares and hotel rates in Doha are only a fraction of those in Japan, or even lower. This is likely because Qataris, who are among the wealthiest in the world, often own private cars and luxurious homes, making such services less valuable to them.

It made me ponder on what individuals prioritize and value, and where they place importance.

As an entrepreneur, this experience was encouraging and thought-provoking.

In the middle, there was a stage where speaking amplified one's voice throughout the entire venue. It made me strongly desire to challenge the world as if our voices were echoing from this very spot
