How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Arc account and all associated data at any time using the following methods:
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Arc app
- Go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@atlasassociates.io with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address or Arc ID. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, avatar, bio, Arc ID)
- Your contact list and friend requests
- Your encryption keys and session data
- Your tracker data and shared trackers
- Your AI conversation history
- Your app preferences and settings
- Your premium subscription data (subscription itself managed by Apple/Google)
What Data May Be Retained
- Messages in group chats: Messages you sent in group conversations may remain visible to other group members, but your account will be shown as "Deleted User."
- Anonymized analytics data: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.
- Legal obligations: Data required by law (e.g., transaction records) may be retained for the legally required period.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- End-to-end encrypted messages are already unreadable by our servers. Deletion removes the keys needed to decrypt them on your device.
- If you have an active premium subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
Processing Time
In-app deletion is processed immediately. Email requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.
