1. No Account and No Personal Data Collection
Aster does not require account registration. The app does not collect personal information, captured photographs, or location data, and never transmits them to external servers. There are no advertising SDKs or analytics tracking tools embedded in the app.
2. Local-Only Storage
All captured photographs and editing metadata remain exclusively on your device, stored securely within the app's sandboxed storage and your device's photo library (such as Apple Photos or DCIM).
3. Camera Permissions
The camera permission is used solely for the purpose of capturing photographs in real time. Aster does not access or record through the microphone.
4. On-Device Subject Segmentation
Subject isolation and bokeh segmentation are processed entirely on-device (via Google Play Services ML Kit on Android and Apple Vision on iOS). On Android, the model binary may be downloaded by Google Play Services upon first use.
