Does using the Focus Loupe crop or downsample the saved photo to 2×?

No. Saved photos are always captured at the sensor's full optical resolution (1.0×). Like the focus magnification assist on high-end mirrorless cameras, the loupe only magnifies the viewfinder display to verify critical focus sharpness.

How do I activate Super Macro, and what can it capture?

Simply press and hold any small subject on the viewfinder. Aster drives the optical system to its minimum focus distance while maximizing stabilization, resolving fine jewelry engravings, gourmet food steam and textures, flower stamens, and wine label fibers.

Where are photos saved? Do they sync with Google Photos and Apple Photos?

Photos save automatically to your device's photo library (Pictures/Aster/ on Android, Apple Photos on iOS). Pristine original bytes are preserved untouched. Cloud backup occurs according to your device's cloud sync configuration.

Can I use Aster for selfies and front-camera shooting?

Yes. The dedicated flip button on the shutter bar toggles between front and rear cameras in one tap. The front preview displays as a natural mirror image, with accurate tap-to-focus on your eyes.

Can I adjust the depth of field in Portrait mode?

Yes. Selecting PORTRAIT reveals a continuous aperture slider from f/1.2 to f/16. Tap to select the focal subject: lower f-stops produce a buttery bokeh blur, while higher f-stops bring the background into sharp deep focus.

Which devices are supported?

Aster is engineered for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android (smartphones/tablets). Official OS and device compatibility requirements will be detailed on the store listings upon release.

Will every device have the same range of settings?

Available ranges depend on what the device hardware, camera sensor, and OS expose. Aster transparently presents available ranges so you can choose settings within your hardware's true physical limits.

Can the shutter sound be muted completely in all regions?

Complete muting cannot be guaranteed on all hardware. 'Silent' disables Aster's synthesized shutter sound. In regions with mandatory shutter sounds (e.g. Japan/Korea), the OS may enforce standard shutter audio.

What is the pricing and subscription model?

Planned pricing is US$1.60 / month in the US and ¥160 / month in Japan (annual option also available). Purchases will be processed directly through Apple App Store and Google Play upon official release.
